This applies to the c0nnect Servers. If you are using a different Server please consult their data protection rules.

Messages

Messages are only archived, with a configurable limit as of the XMPP Standard for MAM-Conferences. Otherwise, messages are destroyed after delivery to each specific device.

Contact List

The phone's contact list will never be transmitted to us. If you use the sync function, everything is done on device!

Your XMPP contact list is saved on our encrypted server. This is technically required with the XMPP standard which enables us to deliver messages while you are offline.

Profile Image

We store your profile image securely on the encrypted c0nnect cluster and make it available if you want to share it.

Media Files and Data Storage

If you upload photos, videos, voice messages or other files, they are stored for 2-days on the encrypted c0nnect cluster. With enabled end-to-end encryption, each file is encrypted with a unique key, which is unknown to the server.
